I know, I know! I’m not the best blogger in the world right now. In fact, I’m probably one of the worst! I told you to come back and see my Oakland cardigan, only to not post about it. My only excuse is that I just got too swamped with other things and I’ve left my poor little blog by the way side. I am hoping to change that if I can… but, like I said, I’m not the best blogger.
Anyway…the Oakland cardigan. It’s one of those absolutely beautiful pieces of clothing that you would want to wear for a special occasion. It’s just that pretty.
With the leafy neckline, which, incidentally, is perfect for the Autumn months ahead, and it’s eyelet edges, Oakland is actually a unisex cardigan.
Now, I can’t prove this, because I’ve knitted both samples in a girly colour… eye rolls all round at me! But I WILL prove it soon. Not only will I prove how stunning this looks on boys too, I’ll show you the winter version. With sleeves. Oh yes my friends! I’m going there!
This cardigan comes in three sizes; 6 months, 12 months and 24 months. It can be knitted up in a choice of snugly, soft merino blend yarn (see the listing here) or in a beautifully soft 100% cotton yarn (listing here). For the purposes of this post, the merino blend is the purple (Heather) cardigan, and the cotton yarn is the pink (Rose Petal) cardigan.
You can also already order this with long sleeves if you wanted to. I have the customise option available for all my designs. You just have to let me know.
The Oakland Cardigan was launched in my Etsy shop on June 26th (Wow, so long ago!) and those VIP’s on my mailing list got to hear all about it first, plus they had a 10% discount code too! If you would like to be a VIP you can join us here. We’d welcome you with tea and cake! (and a 10% discount off your first order of anything in my Etsy shop).
And that long-sleeved version I talked about… I PROMISE, I’ll be back with it in a few weeks! Pinky promise!
